eSearch 3.1.1 Buffer Search Results Error

I am using the 3.1.1 eSearch w/the 3.1 FV. When I choose to buffer the results of a graphic selection, I get the following error:

Invalid or missing input parameters....the input is not a geographic or projected coordinate system

It appears, using Chrome tools, that the bufferSR is set to 0 (zero)
