I noticed that MapSwitcher widget can update its position according to different explorer window size. Now i have a widget and i tend to put it on the top right of my explorer window. How can i always put it in the right place when the window size changes?

Layer list widget-Turning off layers at start
Hello all,
I have roughly 30 operational layers in my layer list widget, however, due to the large amount, I want either no layers or just a few to show up when the application starts. Is there a way for them to be toggled off at the start without manually having to go through each time to turn them off?

Symbology disappeared on TOC/Legend widget on Flex 3.3 portal after https upgrade
Hello,
We were successfully using Robert Scheitlin's TOC/Legend widget, but then we upgraded our security from http to https and somehow lost all of our symbology in our portals. We're using ArcGIS Server 10.1 and flex 3.3. Robert, can you please help?

eSearch Widget - Issues with Datagrid Hyperlinks
Hi,
I have configured several layers within my implementation of the eSearch widget to display one or more hyperlinks. The hyperlinks work as expected, however, after linking to a resource from a hyperlink in the datagrid and then closing the datagrid I invariably receive multiple error messages along the lines of those displayed below:

I only receive the error if I have linked to a resource from the datagrid. Config file attached. Does anybody know what might be causing this behaviour?
I am using the most recent iteration of version 2.5 of the widget.

Have Flex 3.0 need to test 3.4
I am running Flex Viewer 3.0. I would like to install Flex Viewer 3.4. However, I do not want to disable all my apps built in 3.0.

Esearch Widget
I recently updated a layer on our website. I have done this quite frequently, like once a week. I recently updated to 10.2 and when I updated the layer this week, the e search widget returns this error "[RPC Fault faultString=""error #2032" faultCode="null" faultDetail="null"]". Could this have something to do with me not updating our server to 10.2 as well yet or is it something else? Thanks in advance.

TOC Widget 3.3 Question
I'm using Robert's TOC Widget (FV 3.3, complied version) and was wondering if there was a way to expand a select number of layers? All my layers are currently expanded using the <expanded everything="false">true</expanded> tag reference. I would like to keep one or two layers closed (not expanded) and keep the rest expanded. Is there a way to do this?

Flex Viewer 3.4 Secure Service Logon Error
Hi Guys
I am having a problem with using Secure Services with the Flex Viewer 3.4.
My scenario is that I have secured my ArcGIS Server Services and am using them in the flex viewer. When I navigate to the viewer in a browser it prompts for a logon (to be expected for my secuure services). I enter a valid usernamen and password however it fails with an Error #2048 which when I investigate with Firebug shows me a cross domain error.
So it appears that request to my crossdomain file is referenceing https://internal_PC_Name/crossdomain.xml - this of course will fail as that name means nothing outside of my network.

If I try and navigate to the crossdomain file using the external name it works fine.
Has anyone got any ideas of how I can get that logon to reference the correct URL?

Changing "Miles" to "Meters" for Routes in Directions Widget
Hi there, so I'm wondering if there is a way to change the Directions widget to display meters (Or if not possible, kilometers), instead of miles when calculating routes?
I'm working with a very small area (Pedestrian Routing on a University Campus) and it just looks a bit stupid when the route calculated is 0.11 miles. All my network calculations are in meters, and this is how I would like it to display. I've tried to have a fiddle round with the coding for the Directions Widget on my application but with no such luck.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Updating from 3.2 to 3.4?
All,
Will widgets developed for version 3.2 of the Flex Viewer work in 3.4 so long as they do not use functionality only available in 3.4 and I reload/recompile the original widget source code? I am using Flash Builder and not Application Builder to do this work so that I can make any additional customizations necessary. Any info that anybody could provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

eSearch URL selection & print widget

when try to upgrade on latest version (3.4 -7/22/13) but I have no problem when using this version (3.0.12-10/19/12). Even though I changed the symbol using this:

Besides that, If you set useproxy to false on eSearchWidget.xml(v3.4) then you will be able to print.

WMTS Map canot display in overViewWidget
hi there,as the title said, i add two basemap layers instead of addarcgisbasemaps="true" in config.xml
But the result is that they can display in Map view rather than OverViewMapWidget(its blank even without the red box), i read the Post Questions and Answers in forum,and make some mod in OverViewMapWidget.xml as below code:

Adding attachments for each feature in Flex??????

I am using the application builder in ArcGIS Viewer for Flex(v.3.3) as a student. I would like attach a different excel spreadsheet for each pop-up within a layer. Is there a way to do this? I know you can add general attachments that affect the whole layer, but is
there a way to specifically add different ones to each feature within the layer?

Not display the More... button
I need to remove the more button from my flex map, but not remove the layers themselves. In the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex resource page it state's "To not display the More... button, set the visible property on the layerlist tag:" and then it provides this script "<layerlist visible="false"/>". I have no idea how to do this, can some one give me a push in the right direction?

Identify Widget Issues: Aliases/Names, URLs, Warning Layers
I like the port of the identify widget to take advantage of the Application Builder GUI. I have run into some issues with the widget, the last 2 having to do with the GUI, and the first one, I don't know.
1. I went through all my layers in my 3 services, as I have probably over 150+ total fields that identify uses. I've found a few that simply refuse to identify (I get a blank instead of <null>, even when there is data in that record). With the new GUI, I've removed the fields and added them back in, and there is still nothing. This fixed most, but not all of them (7 still broken).
I verified that the REST field names match the ones in the widget and in the geodatabase. I'm not sure what else would do it. A few of the nonworking ones have subtypes, a few are dates, a few have coded domains, none of them seem to share anything in particular. I've checked and rechecked spellings. One strange thing is that 2 of them that were not working, I changed from using the name to using the alias for the name (had to manually edit the xml), and they started working, but the others did not respond to that. I updated to 10.2 for desktop, but not Server yet, if that matters. This seems to be some kind of issue where the name is not being recognized, or there is some confusion over the name & alias in the actual table vs. the name and alias in the xml.
In essence, many of my fields still use the alias as the name like the widget used to use, and they still work, and others I've had to change to the name to work, while others respond to seemingly nothing at all.
2. I noticed something else: After adding a new layer and associated fields with the new GUI, I find that it adds an extra "/4" at the end of the URL after the /3 that was there already (the real layer ID). So it doesn't work unless I go in manually and delete it in the XML, otherwise it keeps coming back with that /4.
3. And lastly there is the issue of the warning signs on every layer that I have... those yellow triangles with the exclamation point ("layer not found in the map"). I don't know if this is related to anything, but I'd like to get rid of those. Most things work just fine, so they clearly are found in the map...clicking "Remove warning layers" wipes out everything, so that doesn't seem to be working right. My map extent clearly has at least 1 layer visible in the default zoom, but even that layer has the yellow triangle.
