Please help me how to configure viewer application to IIS as I am on working on my laptop and don't have ARCGIS server. My main concern is while accessing the operational layers which I am going to use my own because this is directly pointing to ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS online.

Fire Python Script in Flex Viewer App
To All Flex Viewer Developers:
I was wondering if it is possible to fire a python script in a Flex Viewer app.
I am proficient in python which I would like to try to use to insert layout elements into a print template that would be used with the new print templates that ESRI has made available with v10.1. I would like to take the results of a selected item in the map and create a template on the fly that would populate items in the layout portion of the template that would be unique to the selected feature on the map. I need this functionality because the upgraded printing presents the map as What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) and widgets that can display information do not get passed to the map so this information is lost.
Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated.

eSearch Print datagrid function
Thank you Robert for giving up the ability to print the datagrids, it is a fantastic feature to have in the esearch.
I was wondering if anybody has attempted to switch the printing of the datagrids to landscape instead of portrait? i have a few fields (about 10 attributes) returning and i would like to get them all on one line on the same page. If i switch it to landscape that would fix my issue. I've tried shrinking the text but it doesnt quite fit still. I know it has to be in the PrintUtil.as file just wanted some pointers if anybody had tried it yet.
I'm using esearch widget version # 3.1.1.

New Search in HeaderController (Flex Viewer 3.1)
This applies to the 3.1 version of the viewer. I have configured the HeaderControllerWidget.xml to search my own data. To do so I disabled the geocoding tags (<geocoding></geocoding>). However when performing a search against my own address field in my parcel layer, the search is still using the geocoding service as well as my own data. I don't know what else to try in order to completely disable the geocoding service. Very annoying!!

Greetings!
Using flexviewer 2.5 and I have been testing on our internal IP and all is good, however, when i test outside the network it won't display the layers.

I am guessing this is a format issue of how I am calling the services, for example i am using layer:
inside config.xml
Works inside the network but not outside, so my question is: For the outside world to see the maps, do i need to change all references to my domain name? Public IP? with or without the :6080?
I have tried the following but they wont resolve:

Maybe another question would be: How do I access my Manager from outside the network?
From inside it is: LOCALIP:6080/arcgis/manager/
If I am getting there from outside, what would i use? Domain name? Domain name + :6080?
Any suggestions?

Application Error: Could not fetch basemap data: HTTP request error
When i get on to view our server Flex viewer there is an error that says, "Application Error: Could not fetch basemap data: HTTP request error". I don't know why it is that way or what to do about.

TOC Not Displaying Symbols
I just uograded from 10.0 to 10.1 SP1 (both Flex 3.0). I installed WebAdaptor as well. Now my TOCWidget does not show feature symbols in the TOC window, just the names for those services contained in "Private folders"; services in "Public" folders display fine. The map/feature-services display fine in the map. The map services page for each mapservice displays the legend and if I install the Legend widget it shows the feature symbols. Any Ideas???

I’m wondering why the “world” is repeated many times in the basemaps of flex and thus our “operational layers” are repeated as well!

How to add the “scale text” on the map?
I’m wondering if there is a way to add the “scale text” on the map such that the scale of the map is shown at each zoom.

In particular cases, the “scale bar” is not sufficient to identify all the required issue and thus the “scale text” is needed all the time. It is very basic element for any map.

I’m not sure why the list of the coordinate system doesn’t included all the coordinate system such that one can choose the prospective one! For example, I need to let the coordinate system to appear with the coordinate system of “Palestine -1923-Palestine-Grid”. Is this still possible?

Change Size of Overview Map Widget
Is it possible to change the size of the compiled overview map widget in the Flex Viewer application?

Fixed Overview Map
In FV 3.0, I could "fix" the Overview widget so that the extent did not change - only the red box indicating the current extent.
I used the following in the xml
<extent xmin="1060819.04091092" ymin="2052402.78301693" xmax="1114069.08861009" ymax="2103784.57165734" />
It appears that in 3.1, this tag does not work. I looked at the documentation and could not find mention of the extent tag.
Is there another way to accomplish this or am I doing something wrong?

eSearch 3.1.1 Buffer Search Results Error
I am using the 3.1.1 eSearch w/the 3.1 FV. When I choose to buffer the results of a graphic selection, I get the following error:
Invalid or missing input parameters....the input is not a geographic or projected coordinate system
It appears, using Chrome tools, that the bufferSR is set to 0 (zero)

Details on how to get the 3.1 related records feature working?
Hi there,
Very excited to read that I can now use the Application Builder to enable/show 1:M related records in a table.
Can someone show me how to do this?
I have a map document that contains an SDE layer with a relate set up to an table in the same SDE GDB.
I've published this to server, and in the Applications Builder I'm adding the Map Service, but can't get it to either draw or display the related fields.
Any suggestions/help?
I'm trying to click on a parcel and show one or many owner details...
